The case
Written so the youngest investigator actually solves things.
Most family mystery games hand the children a job and the adults the answer. This one splits the evidence deliberately: some clues are ciphers and pattern-matching that eight-year-olds are frankly better at, and some are documents that reward an adult reading them carefully.
Neither half works alone. The Star is recovered by a table, not by a parent.
What it asks of you
Map-reading, a cipher wheel, spotting what changed between two versions of the same picture, and deciding which of several plausible people is telling the truth. No jump scares, no violence, and nothing that needs reading skills beyond a confident eight-year-old.
Content note
A theft-and-recovery adventure. No violence and no peril directed at children. Written for ages 8 and up; younger investigators can play alongside an adult reader.

Sailing with a mixed-age party?
The finder recommends by your youngest investigator. Parties with teenagers and adults are pointed at The Last Crossing instead — and nothing stops you carrying both aboard.
Shared with every case
Same promise, gentler mystery.
The family case is not a lesser product. It ships in the same evidence file, runs on the same offline engine, and gets the same field-mission alternatives.
Works in airplane mode
Download before you sail and every clue, map, narration and puzzle runs from the device for the whole voyage.
Optional AR, always
Scan a clue to see it come alive — or skip it entirely. Nothing in the case depends on augmented reality working.
Field missions with alternatives
Every shipboard moment has an in-app equivalent, so a missed port or a tired afternoon never blocks progress.
