Founder Reservation and Purchase Terms

What a Founder Reservation is

A Founder Reservation holds an edition of a case for a specific ship and departure. It is not a completed purchase. It reserves your place while we finish preparing that sailing.

The deposit

The deposit is $25.00 USD. It is a real charge, not an authorisation hold: the money leaves your account and appears on your statement.

It is credited in full against the price of the case. It is not an additional fee.

The remaining balance, together with shipping and any applicable tax, is calculated and shown to you before it is collected. We do not charge a balance without telling you the figure first.

Compatibility

Every ship and departure needs its own investigation profile before we will call it compatible. A sailing shown as Confirmed has one. A sailing shown as In Validation does not yet.

If we cannot confirm compatibility for your sailing, we refund the deposit in full, automatically, without you having to ask.

Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a Founder Reservation and have the deposit refunded in full at any time before your case has been dispatched. Write to us and we will process it.

Once a case has been dispatched it is a physical product that has left our hands, and the deposit forms part of its price. Your statutory rights are unaffected, and if something arrives damaged or wrong we will put it right.

If your cruise is cancelled or you move to a different sailing, tell us. A case is prepared for a ship and a departure, and in most cases we can re-issue it for the new voyage rather than refund and start again.

If we cancel a sailing's case for any reason, you get the deposit back in full.

Shipping

Cases ship to the address you give us, not to the ship or the port. We will tell you the expected dispatch window before collecting a balance. Shipping cost and any customs charges depend on the destination and are shown before payment.

What you are buying

A physical evidence case and access to an application that runs on your own device. The application works without an internet connection once the case is downloaded, and we do not charge a subscription for it.

Cruise lines

Cruise-line and ship names are used only to identify which sailings a case has been prepared for. We are independent of every cruise line, and nothing here is endorsed by one.

Changes to these terms

The version of these terms you accepted is recorded with your reservation, along with the moment you accepted it. A later change to this page does not alter the terms of a reservation already made.
